Spark UK is looking for a dedicated individual, excited to manage and develop educational resources - creating engaging, high-quality mental health content that reaches schools, youth groups, and young people across the UK.
Spark UK is looking for a dedicated and creative individual to help manage and develop our growing bank of educational mental health resources. In this volunteer role, you'll lead the creation of engaging, high-quality content designed to support schools, youth groups, and young people across the UK.
You’ll take ownership of updating and expanding our lesson plans, worksheets, activity packs, and teacher guides — ensuring they are accessible, age-appropriate, and impactful. Whether you're editing existing materials or developing new ideas, your work will directly contribute to how young people learn about and talk about mental health.
The key deliverable is a consistent flow of high-quality, youth-focused educational resources that reflect Spark UK's values and respond to real-world needs in schools and communities.
You’ll work closely with the Spark UK team, including young people, designers, and teachers, and you’ll have the freedom to suggest new formats, topics, and approaches. This role has a solid framework but lots of flexibility — perfect for someone who wants to blend creativity with impact.
We’re looking for someone who is passionate about youth mental health and loves turning ideas into meaningful, engaging content. You don’t need to be a qualified teacher or mental health professional — just someone with strong communication skills, a creative mindset, and a desire to make a difference.
Ideally, you’ll have:
Above all, we're looking for someone proactive, thoughtful, and committed to creating high-quality resources that genuinely support and inspire young people.
Your work will directly shape how thousands of young people across the UK learn about and understand mental health. By developing accessible, engaging, and age-appropriate resources, you'll help teachers and youth leaders confidently deliver lessons that spark meaningful conversations.
You’ll play a key part in equipping the next generation with the tools to understand their emotions, support one another, and seek help when they need it. Whether it's a worksheet used in a Year 5 classroom or a campaign pack shared with a national youth group, your resources will be making a real, lasting difference.
Ultimately, you'll be helping to create a culture where talking about mental health is normal, encouraged, and empowering — and that’s a legacy to be proud of.
