Each article produced can stand alone, so volunteers length of involvement will be subject to negotiation.

Our Mission is to give a national and global perspective to those working locally. We need help compiling abstracts of researched material from multiple sources, presenting it to the broader public in ways that are easier to understand.

What will you be doing?

Much of the information that is available nationally and globally is complex, technical and sometimes difficult to understand. Our audience do not always have the time, or willingness (TL/DR - too long, didn't read) to absorb this information, yet want to have a general understanding.

We would like the volunteer to review information researched from newsletters, blogs news items etc,  produce abstracts (short pieces that give the main points) that can then be shared across other platforms and where appropriate help other members of the team with their work.

What are we looking for?

We are looking for a volunteer who:

  • Has a basic understanding of climate issues
  • Has experience of precising, writing and editing  content
  • Has the ability to quickly understand the needs of our organisation
  • Can ask key questions to enable us to clarify requirements
  • Understands the resource constraints of a small charity and can work within these

What difference will you make?

Your input will enable us to increase the number of blogs we can produce on a monthly basis in order to gain a greater traction on social media and reach a wider audience.
