We are seeking a Recruitment & Onboarding Administrator to support our growing team of volunteers. This role is crucial in ensuring an efficient recruitment process & a positive onboarding experience for all volunteers joining us.

What will you be doing?

Key Responsibilities 

Recruitment Administration: 

  • Collaborate with the chair & trustees to identify volunteer needs & create role descriptions. 
  • Post volunteer opportunities on job boards, social media to attract candidates. 
  • Review applications and shortlist potential candidates. 
  • Schedule & coordinate interviews, ensuring professional and welcoming experience.

Onboarding Coordination: 

  • Oversee the onboarding process, ensuring volunteers feel welcomed and prepared. 
  • Prepare onboarding materials, including agreements, NDA & other relevant documents. 

Support and Collaboration: 

  • Act as main contact for recruitment/onboarding inquiries. 
  • Support volunteers with questions/concerns during their transition. 
  • Refine recruitment/onboarding processes to enhance efficiency & volunteer satisfaction. 
  • Participate in meetings & share updates, challenges/improvements. 

Key Competencies & Skills 

  • Organisation: Exceptional task management and attention to detail. 
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written skills for engaging with teams and volunteers.
  • IT: Confident in using Microsoft Office, Google Workspace & volunteer management systems. 
  • Interpersonal Skills: Ability to build strong relationships with candidates & team members.
  • Problem-Solving: Proactive in addressing recruitment & onboarding challenges

Qualifications & Experience 

Essential: 

  • Previous experience in recruitment, HR, or administrative roles (voluntary or paid). 
  • Strong understanding of recruitment & onboarding best practices. 
  • Knowledge of confidentiality & data protection requirements. 

Desirable: 

  • Experience working in the charity or non-profit sector. 
  • Familiarity with recruitment platforms & applicant tracking systems. 
  • Knowledge of symptomatic hypermobility & related conditions (or willingness to learn).

Experience in the charity or non-profit sector, familiarity with recruitment platforms & a willingness to learn about symptomatic hypermobility & related conditions are desirable qualities. A proactive & supportive approach is essential for ensuring a positive experience for volunteers.
