We are seeking someone with the skills to lead our group of dedicated volunteers based in Bath. Your previous experience in business or charity work will have given you the leadership and motivational skills to make an impact.

What will you be doing?

The Read Easy Team Leader coordinates the work of the team in Bath - a dedicated team of volunteers and reading coaches who are delivering one-to-one reading coaching to adults who struggle to read.  You will need the skills to lead the group, coordinate activity, support individual volunteers who are active in fund-raising, volunteer and reader recruitment, literacy, venue organisation, data protection and others. We would recommend this role to people who have previously lead or managed teams within business or related charity environments. You will be a motivator and supporter of a number of activity strands across the team. Some knowledge of governance and finance as well as marketing would be helpful.

What are we looking for?

We are seeking someone whose prior or current business skills will have equipped them with:

An ability to lead and motivate a dedicated team

Some knowledge of governance in the charity or other sectors

A knowledge of financial management

A drive to work with others to make a difference

The capacity to work with regional and national stakeholders whilst making impact locally

What difference will you make?

Your skills, learnt over a number of years in business or charity organisations, will be vital in motivating and leading the team, coordinating their efforts and being the point of liaison with Read Easy nationally. You will keep the management team on track, making sure that policies and procedures are effective and that the coaches are freed up to simply coach and make a difference. You will be a hugely important person at the helm of an already active team.
