The Project Director will oversee, promote, and expand critical Nyeusi events.

What will you be doing?

The Project Director will oversee, promote, and expand three critical Nyeusi events: Give Black December, the We Are One Weekly Lotto Quiz, and the Nyeungana Challenge Competition. These initiatives are essential to the organisation’s mission of fostering unity, cultural pride, and community engagement. The Project Director will be responsible for the successful planning, execution, and growth of these events, working collaboratively with the Head of Marketing & Fundraising, Head of PR, and Head of Transformation to ensure each initiative reaches its fullest potential.

What are we looking for?

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in project management, particularly in event planning or nonprofit program management.
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in budgeting, data analysis, and performance evaluation.
  • Passion for community engagement and cultural promotion, with a commitment to Nyeusi’s mission.

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience with digital marketing and social media strategies.
  • Familiarity with traditional African games, languages, and cultural practices.
  • Background in community organizing or experience working with educational institutions.

    • Implement and promote the We Are One Lotto Quiz, creating an inclusive environment for participants to engage in discussions on unity and shared experiences within the Black community.
  • Nyeungana Challenge Competition:
    • Organise and promote the Nyeungana Challenge, targeting university students and fostering cultural engagement through Ayo game tournaments and language challenges.
