XR UK’s press team is searching for a Press Officer to join us. We work with the media to accurately, loudly and persuasively communicate our key messages including our demand for a Citizens' Assembly on Climate and Ecological Justice.
The Extinction Rebellion UK Press Team manages relationships with journalists and the media (TV, radio, print and online), driving the national conversation on climate, activism, and the need for a Citizens' Assembly.
We are looking for somebody to join the team who can offer 1-2 days per week to

Extinction Rebellion is the largest grassroots climate movement in the UK. When XR burst onto the streets of London in 2019, we went with the science and demanded action by 2025. That deadline is almost upon us, and yet we continue to career towards climate and ecological disaster. Our Third Demand - a Citizens' Assembly on Climate and Ecological Justice - is more urgent than ever, and with a new government in Westminster, now is the time to keep building the pressure.
As a member of the press team, you are part of our public face, influencing the public conversation on climate activism, XR, and the need for a Citizens' Assembly.
