We're a small mental health charity that promotes lived experience and promotion

What will you be doing?

We are looking for someone with experience of mental health - either personally, or professionally - to help raise the profile of our charity. This is a new role for us, so we are happy to work with the successful candidate to set exact parameters but expect that they will

help to raise the profile of the organisation amongst residents of West Sussex as well as funders and partners;
bring in press and other opportunities;
help shape our messaging;
contribute to our work targeting corporates for support and sponsorship;
and anything else we all decide is applicable!

You will work with the senior team, specifically the Business Development Manager and CEO.

What are we looking for?

The successful candidate will have:

Experience and an understanding of the issues surrounding mental health
At least 3 years experience in PR
An understanding of how PR fits within business strategy
An empathy for those who struggle with their mental health, and a drive to improve the services offered in West Sussex

What difference will you make?

Your input will help us to raise our profile at what is a critical time for the charity. We are currently undergoing a review of activity, including strategic direction, and your expertise will help us to shape and direct our efforts. Additionally, it will aid us in sponsorship and other fundraising actions.
