The Transforming Autism Project is looking for an experienced volunteer (4 hours a week) public relations officer to foster brand awareness and uphold a positive public image for the Charity.

What will you be doing?

The Transforming Autism Project, is looking for an experienced volunteer public relations officer to foster brand awareness and uphold a positive public image for our Charity. Applicants must have a background in media management or PR, and experience with developing, leading, and maintaining marketing strategies related to public relations.

Our ideal candidate is media savvy and skilled in communication strategies.

Objectives of this role

  • Develop PR marketing strategies for the Charity
  • Communicate with press and media representatives
  • Form an impressive public-facing brand image
  • Create and facilitate PR campaigns
  • Organize PR-related events

Responsibilities

  • Create promotional materials
  • Craft, edit, and distribute press releases
  • Track Autism promotional trends
  • Communicate with internal teams and external media outlets

Skills and qualifications

  • Confident communicator
  • Superb written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience of networking and building relationships with the press
  • Aptitude for strategic problem-solving
  • Proficient in all social media platforms, such as Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, and LinkedIn

Preferred qualifications

  • Previous PR or media management experience
  • Strong editorial and marketing skills
  • Great attention to detail
  • Excellent organisational skills
