What will you be doing?

As the PR Manager for Endometriosis South Coast (ESC), you will be responsible for enhancing the visibility and reputation of ESC through effective media engagement. You will serve as the primary point of contact for all media enquiries and work to promote our cause, ensuring that ESC’s message reaches a wide and diverse audience. Your efforts will raise awareness of endometriosis and highlight ESC’s programs and initiatives to support individuals affected by the condition.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Media Engagement:
    • Act as the main point of contact for all media enquiries, responding promptly and professionally.
    • Build and maintain relationships with journalists, influencers, and media outlets to promote ESC’s work.
  • Media Strategy:
    • Develop and implement a media strategy to increase awareness of ESC and endometriosis across various platforms.
    • Write and distribute press releases, statements, and articles to highlight ESC’s projects, events, and achievements.
  • Social Media Support:
    • Collaborate with the social media team to ensure consistent messaging and media coverage across all digital platforms.
    • Monitor and report on media coverage and PR outcomes, identifying opportunities to improve ESC’s public profile.
  • Brand Representation:
    • Ensure that all media communications align with ESC’s brand values and messaging.
    • Prepare spokespeople for media interviews, providing them with key messages and briefing documents.
  • Event Promotion:
    • Work closely with ESC’s events team to promote awareness and participation in ESC-hosted events and campaigns.

Skills & Experience:

  • Experience in public relations, communications, or media.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with media professionals.
  • Knowledge of the nonprofit sector and/or health awareness campaigns is a plus.
