Your Other Day-to-day Responsibilities Might Include:
1. Episode Planning and Content Creation:
- Develop and pitch ideas for podcast episodes aligned with BeScience STEM's goals.
- Research and create discussion points for each episode.
- Organise all podcast material into a drive folder.
2. Guest Management:
- Identify and reach out to potential guests who align with the podcast's themes.
- Prepare guests for their appearances, providing them with topics and questions in advance.
- Handle all communications with guests, ensuring a positive experience.
3. Production Management:
- Create a schedule/tracker to manage recording sessions.
- Coordinate with guests and co-hosts to prepare for recordings.
- Oversee the editing process, ensuring episodes are polished and professional:
- Ensure high-quality audio, managing sound levels and eliminating background noise.
- Ensure the audio editor cuts out mistakes, adds intros/outros, and incorporates sound effects or music.
- Conduct sound checks and listen to final cuts before publishing.
- Schedule the episodes for publishing according to the agreed publishing cadence on the tracker.
4. Analytics and Improvement:
- Track and analyse podcast performance using analytics tools on the podcast publishing platform.
- Gather listener feedback and use it to improve future episodes.
- Report key metrics and insights to the team regularly.
