Life Without Borders CIC is a visionary social enterprise supporting economic migrants and neurodiverse people as they integrate into UK society. 

What will you be doing?

We seek talented and passionate Photographers or Videographers to join our dynamic remote volunteer team. In this role, you will capture stories, experiences, and journeys of the people we support. Your work is critical in promoting our mission, raising awareness, and engaging our audience across various platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Capture high-quality photographs and videos that reflect the experiences and stories of economic migrants and neurodiverse individuals.
  • Work closely with our team to develop visual content for social media, our website, newsletters, and other promotional materials.
  • Edit and produce compelling video content that aligns with our mission and brand identity.
  • Document events, workshops, and other activities organized by Life Without Borders CIC.
  • Collaborate with the communications team to create visually engaging campaigns that resonate with our target audience.
  • Ensure all visual content adheres to ethical standards, especially concerning the privacy and dignity of our beneficiaries.

What are we looking for?

  • Proven experience as a photographer and/or videographer, with a strong portfolio showcasing your work.
  • Proficiency in photo and video editing software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Final Cut Pro, etc.).
  • A keen eye for detail and a passion for storytelling through visual media.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage with diverse groups of people.
  • Sensitivity to and understanding of the challenges faced by economic migrants and neurodiverse individuals.
  • Flexibility to attend events and activities outside of regular working hours as needed.

Desirable:

  • Experience working in the non-profit or social enterprise sector.
  • Familiarity with the issues and challenges faced by economic migrants and neurodiverse individuals in the UK.
  • Knowledge of accessibility best practices in visual media.
