Can you tell a life story through a lens? Are you passionate about helping your community through your work? We're looking for brilliant photographers to capture our community services, nutrition programme and other projects!

What will you be doing?

You will support our small team of marketing volunteers to build a portfolio of beautiful moments at FEAST. Whether you’re looking for a one-off opportunity or something longer-term, this is the role for you!

Main responsibilities

• Working with the project coordinator to capture some of the best moments from the FEAST kitchens!

• Working with volunteer cooks, cyclists and others to ensure they're happy and comfortable in front of the camera.

• Working with other photographers to ensure a consistent, professional style, aligning with FEAST's brand and marketing guidelines.

• Sharing knowledge and suggestions for improvement based on professional experience.

• If applicable, working with other marketing volunteers to create content for social media, the FEAST website and blogs.

What are we looking for?

  • At least 3 years of experience in professional photography
  • Creative thinking and an excellent eye for detail
  • Ability to work independently and within a small team
  • Good communication
  • Ability to travel to Camden, Barnet and/or Islington for sessions
  • Access to your own photography equipment
  • Desire to support the community through a voluntary commitment

What difference will you make?

FEAST’s mission is to improve the nutrition, wellbeing, and health of people at risk of food insecurity. FEAST tackles food insecurity by providing nutritious meals and nurturing community connections. Our primary service includes community meals, known as "FEASTs," using donated surplus food. These are more than just meal services; they are welcoming, inclusive, social spaces that bring people together and reduce social isolation.

Our Healthy Eating on a Budget Programme further empowers individuals by helping build nutrition knowledge, developing practical cooking and budgeting skills. These programmes build confidence and empower people to make healthier choices to achieve nutritional independence.

And you can be a part of this! By capturing FEAST's services and projects in action, you can help us promote our work, attract volunteer support and increase our visibility to potential funders.

By getting involved you will gain:

  • Space to develop your work, gain experience and use your creativity.
  • A great opportunity for those professionals looking for using their skills to reflect the needs of our community and help us reduce inequality.
  • An opportunity to add to your portfolio and perhaps even develop your own projects alongside the team.
  • Regular feedback on your work and learning opportunities.
  • Become part of a friendly, enthusiastic and motivated team.
