We are looking for a People Support volunteer to join our team.

What will you be doing?

Duties:

Signpost/refer to specialist agencies
Provide practical and emotional support
Welcome new participants and complete registration forms

What are we looking for?

Essentials

Experience in supporting others (work, volunteering, friends/family)
Experience in advice, advocacy, casework, or mental health support
Good people skills
Emotional resilience; organized, strong work ethic
Flexible, adaptable; enjoys being outdoors (all weathers)
Commitment to regular attendance (Tuesdays/Fridays) for at least 1 year; willing to learn and undertake training

Desirable

Lived experience of seeking asylum or working with asylum seekers/refugees
Understanding of the UK asylum system and relevant local services (or willingness to learn)
