Are you passionate about bilingual education and cultural exchange? Do you have experience in Human Resources? La Marelle is seeking dedicated volunteers to help us grow through effective People Management.

What will you be doing?

As the People and Volunteer Manager, you will play a pivotal role in coordinating volunteer activities, leading recruitment efforts, and overseeing project management initiatives within La Marelle. We are looking for a highly organised and enthusiastic individual who can effectively manage volunteer activities, support HR initiatives, and coordinate various projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead on recruitment, onboarding, and database management for both French speaking volunteers and staff.
  • Develop and implement volunteer recruitment strategies to attract and retain volunteers.
  • Coordinate and schedule volunteer activities, ensuring a seamless and rewarding experience for all participants.
  • Maintain accurate records of volunteer absences, volunteer CPDs, etc.
  • Collaborate with various  French speaking stakeholders to identify their needs and offer potential opportunities.
  • Support HR functions including recruitment, onboarding, and volunteer/stakeholder engagement activities.
  • Assist in the administration of HR policies and procedures.
  • Prepare regular reports on volunteer and HR activities for management.
  • Coordinate and manage projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and budget.
  • Develop project plans, monitor progress, and provide updates to trustees and management.
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration among project team members.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks and issues.

What are we looking for?

Requirements:

  • Proficiency in French: spoken and written.
  • Proven experience in volunteer coordination, HR, or a similar role.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Experience in project management and coordination.
