We are a small international charity in need of funds from organisations who might encourage their employees to do Payrole Giving, can you help?
Payroll Giving, also known as Workplace Giving or Give As You Earn (GAYE), is a scheme for UK taxpayers to donate money to UK Registered Charities directly from their gross pay. The donations are taken from the pay before income tax is applied, making it a tax-effective way to give.
Do you think you could sell our organisation to theirs, if so please get in touch.
Your role would be to find companies who want to offer their employees the opportunity to donate to our campaigns via their salaries and assist with formalising the process.
One of our campaigns
Compassion Direct giving Sudanese families a sustainable future.
85 miles away from the devastation of floods and famine in Maridi, is a nearby thriving church community with the compassion and will to help their neighbours. Compassion Direct have teamed up with Pastor Benjamin and the 100's of members of their independent church, who wish to help their stricken neighbours to recover, recuperate and become self-reliant.
Liaising with the disaster area, buses will collect families and take them to a safe haven where they can start anew. We will build a small village of round houses for up to 600 people.
“Our church is a role model for self-reliance in Western South Sudan, said pastor Benjamin, early this year we formed a cooperative association to work on 200 acres of farmland 19 km from the town. The cooperative was formed to enable the eradication of poverty in the area amongst its members, we grow and sell food from the farm to support our community” and “the farm grows corn, cassava, ground nuts and beans all without artificial fertilizers”. “Our area and church do not have the inter-tribal conflicts here even though church members represent many different tribes, they have learned to live together in peace and harmony without tribal clashes” said Pastor Benjamin
CDUK is run by professional volunteers, the money we raise is spent where it is needed most & not on costly offices and administration.
We need to supply transportation for buses to collect the refugees , dig more bore holes on the farm land to support the new comers, buy biogas cookers and solar panels as well as extra seed, food and clothing. We will also require funding to run training workshops. The Sudanese are a business minded people but training will be available where necessary to rebuild thier lives in the area.
You will need to be friendly, creative, innovative and tenacious with some knowledge of how business works. Experience of Payrole Giving would be an advantage but if you are outgoing and intelligent you will soon learn. It will help if you are organised and can structure your time while building up a business database of contacts. Experience in the following skills would be useful.
Copywriting / Journalism
Marketing strategy
Social media marketing
Database / CRM development
Business development / Sales
The impact that your role would have is enormous and will help save and enhance many lives abroad
