Welcome to Reach Volunteering. We are a community and registered charity that connects people, skills and good causes.

To apply for this role, and any other on our platform, you need to be based in the UK, have at least three years of experience using the skills you wish to volunteer in a professional capacity or have lived experience (for trustee roles). Read more about our criteria.

WeJam Foundation exists to transform the lives of young people most in need through music, reaching those who live in areas of deprivation, and those with special educational needs and disabilities.

What will you be doing?

We are looking for professional individuals who are able to help us deliver our charitable objectives. You should:

1. Feel comfortable operating within a diverse Board of Trustees

2. Be confident scrutinising the charity budget

3. Feel comfortable initiating and leading conversations based on your ideas and providing feedback on the opinions and views of others

4. Not be afraid to step out of your comfort zone to take an informed view of issues which may not naturally be your area of expertise

5. Have a good understanding of what the role of a trustee entails and its importance to the governance of the organisation.

It is desirable to have some form of previous Board experience although not essential.

A successful board of trustees should be made up of people who possess a variety of different skills and experience. WeJam Foundation, therefore, especially welcomes applications from individuals with the following skills/experience:

• Income generation/fundraising

• Legal

• Human Resources

• Social Entrepreneurship

• Management

What difference will you make?

As a newly established charity you will get to join us on this exciting journey as we get up and running. Beyond the statutory duties of a trustee, we’re looking for somebody that believes in the cause and can bring their own ideas to the table. We are a friendly bunch with equal voices, and work collaboratively to fulfill the duties of trustees.
