Join the Jewellery Collective's Mentoring Programme to make a difference in the lives of up-and-coming jewellers.

What will you be doing?

We're seeking expert volunteers in business/public relations/marketing to join the Jewellery Collective's Mentoring Programme. Volunteers will provide guidance and support to up-and-coming jewellers, helping them navigate the intricacies of running a successful business. The key deliverable is to conduct a minimum of four one-hour mentoring sessions annually with mentees. Mentors will work closely with members of the Jewellery Collective, fostering connections and offering valuable insights to empower mentees in their entrepreneurial journey. While the role description outlines the minimum commitment expected, there is flexibility in how volunteers can contribute, allowing for adaptation to the needs and schedules of both mentors and mentees.

What are we looking for?

The ideal mentors for our mentoring program should possess a diverse set of skills, experiences, and qualities to effectively guide and support up-and-coming jewellers in navigating the complexities of running a successful business. Key skills include expertise in e-commerce and business strategy, proficiency in digital marketing and data analysis, and a strong understanding of customer experience optimization. Experience in leadership, particularly in e-commerce startups, is valuable, emphasizing vision, strategy, and the ability to adapt to dynamic environments. Additionally, mentors should possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate ideas and provide guidance. They should also exhibit patience, empathy, and a passion for helping others succeed, fostering a supportive and empowering mentorship relationship.

What difference will you make?

The mentors in our program will have a profound impact on shaping the professional development and success of up-and-coming jewellers within the Jewellery Collective. Your guidance will not only help these individuals navigate the complexities of running a successful jewellery business but will also shape how they present themselves to their customers, stakeholders, and the broader public. With your expertise, we'll be able to adapt to evolving industry landscapes, explore new opportunities, and refine our approaches to better serve our members. Together, we'll fulfill our mission of nurturing connections within the jewellery industry and supporting the next generation of jewellers. Your involvement will not only help us thrive but also ensure our long-term growth and sustainability, especially during this critical period of development. Furthermore, your networking abilities and press contacts will amplify the impact of our initiatives, spreading awareness and attracting more individuals to join our cause, ultimately enhancing the work of our dedicated team of volunteers.
