Currently seeking enthusiastic and committed individuals to join our board of trustees. MMI is a registered charity that provides support and information for individuals living with dementia and their carers.

What will you be doing?

As a trustee, you will join our board to help guide our work, support our development, provide input and viewpoints on new projects, and help ensure that together we deliver our charitable aims.

The role offers great non-financial benefits including potential personal and career development such as increased knowledge, skills and experience, confidence building, development and improvement of leadership skills, problem-solving, and more extensive personal and professional networks.

What are we looking for?

Knowledge of community work, business management, the public sector, or health would be an advantage.

You would be reliable, enthusiastic and community-minded. You are likely to be solution focused, positive, able to see the bigger picture and willing to adopt a role as a critical friend. We’d especially like to hear from anyone with skills and knowledge in any of the following: fundraising, procurement, marketing, HR, finance, or volunteer management, but a willingness to learn is of equal value.

What difference will you make?

This opportunity is open to anyone aged over 18 years who shares our vision to improve the lives of people and families living with dementia or memory loss. No previous experience is necessary, although knowledge of community work, business management, the public sector, or health would be an advantage.

You will become part of a supportive team that creates improved well-being, increased social welfare and community cohesion. We are looking for people who share our values of people helping people.
