What will you be doing?

MTICBIAI is on a mission to revolutionise the conversation around mental health, neurodivergence, and community well-being. As we continue to grow, we are looking for a passionate Marketing Trustee to join our board and help elevate our visibility and impact.

Current Challenges and Goals:While we have made significant strides in reaching our target audience, we face the challenge of expanding our marketing efforts to create more widespread awareness, engage with diverse communities, and build deeper connections with supporters. Our goal is to further amplify our advocacy for mental health, focusing on accessibility, inclusivity, and breaking stigmas. As a Marketing Trustee, you will help us strengthen our brand presence, develop innovative marketing strategies, and engage with partners who share our vision.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the board to define marketing strategies that align with MTICBIAI’s mission and goals.
  • Provide guidance on branding, digital marketing, and communications to elevate the organisation's profile.
  • Advise on content strategy to ensure alignment with target audiences and diverse communities.
  • Lead efforts to grow our social media presence, ensuring consistent messaging and engagement.
  • Foster relationships with potential sponsors, partners, and stakeholders to support fundraising and awareness campaigns.
  • Monitor the success of marketing initiatives and advise on continuous improvements.

Qualities and Attributes We Are Looking For:

  • Proven experience in marketing, preferably within the mental health, social justice, or non-profit sector.
  • Expertise in digital marketing, content creation, and social media strategies.
  • Strong understanding of branding and messaging, with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
  • Lived expertise in mental health or neurodivergence is highly valued.
  • A passion for inclusion, advocacy, and social impact.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse group of professionals, board members, and staff.
  • Innovative thinking and a commitment to driving positive change.

What are we looking for?

Skills:

  • Digital Marketing Expertise: Strong knowledge of online marketing platforms, social media, SEO, content creation, and analytics tools.
  • Brand Strategy: Ability to shape and communicate a consistent brand message across various channels, ensuring alignment with MTICBIAI’s values and mission.
  • Content Development: Proficiency in developing compelling content for blogs, social media, newsletters, and marketing campaigns that resonate with diverse audiences.
  • Campaign Management: Experience in creating, executing, and evaluating marketing campaigns that drive engagement and achieve measurable results.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Strong analytical skills to measure marketing performance, adjust strategies, and optimise efforts based on insights.

Experience:

  • Proven Marketing Experience: Demonstrated success in a marketing role, ideally within the mental health, non-profit, or social impact sectors.
  • Experience with Social Media Strategy: Deep understanding of social media platforms and how to build and engage communities, particularly in niche and underserved areas.
  • Stakeholder Management: Experience in building and maintaining relationships with stakeholders, including potential partners, donors, and influencers.
  • Content Creation for Diverse Audiences: Experience in crafting content that speaks to a wide range of people, including those from different backgrounds and communities affected by trauma and adversity.

Qualities:

  • Passion for Social Change: A genuine commitment to mental health, neurodivergence, and diversity, with a drive to challenge societal stigmas.
  • Creative Thinking: Ability to think outside the box and develop innovative solutions to marketing challenges.
  • Collaboration: Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset, able to work effectively with the board, staff, and external partners.
  • Leadership: Ability to guide the marketing team and offer strategic advice, balancing creativity with practical execution.
