Using professional marketing skills to help meet our objectives of helping the public improve their health through increasing participation in Running and Triathlon
Responsibilities:
- Develops and manages the marketing strategy based on overall club strategy working with the Club’s Governance Committee
- Develops marketing approach and campaigns to raise club profile and target key segments (as a subset to broader growth plans) as agreed in the strategy and as prioritised by the Governance Committee e.g. younger and female runners and triathletes
- Manages club internal and external comms and develops an appropriate plan for both using club’s agreed mix of channels
- Manages club brand across channels and media
- Develops and manages marketing activity for club hosted races open to the public working with Race Organisation Lead and Race Directors
- Agrees and manages club marketing budget with Club Treasurer
- Manages website content (in line with agreed strategy and priorities)
- Builds and manages the activity of a team of individuals to support the portfolio of marketing activities
Main relationships:
- Membership lead, Technical Lead, Race Organisation Lead, Competition Lead, Treasurer
- Experience in Marketing (particularly digital)
- Developing and leading successful segment specific campaigns
- Knowledge of online marketing and analytic tools, SEO
- Strong affinity and/or interest in running and/or triathlon related sports
- Ability to work collaboratively and motivate in a volunteer led organisation
