The Marketing Director ensures that the work and philosophy of the Chorus is published to external audiences and organisations effectively. The aim of our marketing activity is to help maximise sales for events by publicising our work widely and bringing us to the attention of people who might join, buy tickets or engage us.
Their main tasks are to:
Experience in a marketing role would be a distinct advantage. We would like our Marketing Director to be able to fit in with our volunteer team of Trustees, be able to help us to keep consistent with our brand, be able to coach volunteers to be the best they can be at press relations, web design, social media and digital assets. Ideally you would have experience and a keen interest in performing arts.
Our charitable aim is to educate and bring high quality music to audiences and our singers. We have a strong interest in innovative programming; commissioning new work and involving young people in our concerts. Commissioning supports music creators without whom we would have almost no new music, innovation brings little-known works alongside popular music thereby expanding audience's musical knowledge - and without enabling young people to experience the joys of singing in a large choir in amazing spaces (such as St Albans Cathedral) we would not have a thriving UK choral scene in future years..
