We're looking for a marketing and social media volunteer to help raise the profile of Dartmoor Makers CIC and expand the impact of our organisation.
Dartmoor Makers is a community-focused, creative organisation based in Chagford, on the edge of Dartmoor National Park. We run inclusive arts and crafts workshops, classes, and projects that bring people together, support wellbeing and cultivate creativity across generations.
Our work has a strong social purpose; from tackling rural isolation and improving wellbeing to providing creative education for children, families, and older adults. As a small but ambitious not-for-profit, we are growing our impact and looking for support to develop our communications strategy and reach.
We are seeking a marketing or communications professional to volunteer their skills to help shape and deliver our marketing and social media activity. This is an exciting opportunity to make a tangible impact in a values-led organisation, and to help develop a clear and engaging public presence for Dartmoor Makers.
You’ll help us:
We’re looking for a volunteer with experience in marketing, communications and social media who is passionate about using their skills for social good. You might be a marketing professional, a digital content creator, or someone with strong communications skills looking to support a meaningful community cause.
We’re particularly interested in people who can:
Experience with content planning, social media scheduling tools, basic graphic design or analytics/reporting would be a plus – but none of these are essential. Most importantly, we're looking for someone who shares our belief in the power of creativity to bring people together and make a difference.
Your contribution will help Dartmoor Makers reach more people across our rural community. By strengthening our marketing and communications you will play a key role in increasing participation in our creative arts programmes, building local partnerships and securing the long-term sustainability of our work.
Your expertise will help us tell our story more effectively, grow our audience and demonstrate the real social value of community arts. This will directly support our mission to improve wellbeing, nurture creativity and create inclusive spaces where everyone feels welcome.
