Welcome to Reach Volunteering. We are a community and registered charity that connects people, skills and good causes.

To apply for this role, and any other on our platform, you need to be based in the UK, have at least three years of experience using the skills you wish to volunteer in a professional capacity or have lived experience (for trustee roles). Read more about our criteria.

Our team are developing a VR experience that brings science to life.

We are looking for a Managing Director to join our small team passionate about equal access to supercurricular activities.

What will you be doing?

You will help us to continue developing the strategic direction of the organisation as we look to grow our impact and build financial sustainability.

The role can be flexible to your skillset but will generally involve working closely with the 2 directors on strategic planning and capacity development.

What are we looking for?

We are looking for someone with experience advising on organisation strategy, best practices, and ideally some of the following:

  • ability to support sourcing funding to sustain our mission (primarily bids for grant funding but also exploring other funding opportunities such as sponsorships or investments)
  • leadership experience in education services, technology, product development or growing small ventures
  • previous experience reviewing business policies
  • experience reviewing agreements and legal contracts
  • Ideally, someone who can offer 2 hours of their time each week on average, though given this is a voluntary position we are flexible with commitment times

What difference will you make?

Your experience will help us to adapt, learn new ways of working, and be vital in shaping our strategy to increase equitable access to supercurricular activities.
