Sunrise Diversity is a charity dedicated to creating community cohesion and ending discrimination. Our services are designed to promote equality, diversity and social inclusion throughout Northern Devon.
We are especially keen to find someone with experience in IT and someone else with a background in HR. Ideally, we are looking for people who understand organisational change and development, maybe with some understanding of how charities operate but if your main attribute is simply a passion for helping our communities become increasingly accepting and inclusive, we’d still love to hear from you.
Diverse lived experiences are also exceptionally important for us to develop a strong board and to ensure we are representative of the communities we serve. If you have lived experience of our work (migrants, refugees, black/ethnic minoritised groups, global majority, displacement, LGBTQ+ community) with the above experience, please get in touch.
If you don’t think you are ready to be a Trustee, we have some satisfying volunteering opportunities and will be very happy to accept pro-bono support. We are also interested in helping younger and inexperienced people take steps into community leadership so please do make contact whatever your level of interest.
