We are currently recruiting a Journalist to support a variety of content tasks related to the social enterprise’s current projects. We are looking for an individual who is passionate, hands-on and can multi-task.
As a Journalist within the organisation you will be required to
- Research, write, edit, and proofread news stories, features, and articles.
- Read press releases, interview sources, and verify statements and facts.
- Create scripts for podcast episodes. This will help guide the team on the structure of each episode and what content needs to be recorded/collated for each episode.
- Host and create video discussions.
- Coordinate with the business development team for new assignments.
- Collaborate with customers on sponsored content.
- Attend events (both virtual and live) as required.
Our Journalist will work with the rest of the content team as well as the administration team. The hours and days for this role are flexible.
Experience
3 years prior experience in journalism and audio/video production (podcast, TV etc) is essential.

- ability to maintain ethical and objective standards in reporting.
- exceptional communication and networking skills, with the ability to effectively extract information.
