Resurrected Bites is a dynamic, fast-growing charity that stops good food from going to waste and uses it to feed people in food poverty through community groceries in Harrogate & Knaresborough. We’re on a mission to fill bellies & not bins, and we need a sharp, strategic, and experienced trustee to help us do it safely and effectively.

What You’ll Do:

• Ensure we continue to meet Health & Safety and food safety regulations across all our operations. We are supported by SafetyNest.
• Provide expert guidance to keep our teams, volunteers, and customers safe.
• Help shape our strategy as we grow and reach more people.
• Work alongside a passionate board and leadership team who are making real change happen.

What We’re Looking For:

• Experience in Health & Safety—preferably with a food safety background.
• A hands-on approach—willing to advise, support, and challenge when needed.
• A commitment to our mission and a passion for sustainability and social impact.
• Experience in risk assessment, compliance, or policy development is a bonus.

This is a voluntary role but one with huge purpose and influence. You’ll be part of a forward-thinking charity that’s creating lasting change in North Yorkshire. The Trustee meetings are currently 2h every 2 months. There will be involvement in reviewing our Health & Safety processes on an ongoing basis (with the support of SafetyNest) and we can agree on how much time you can offer.
