West Smethwick Enterprise is a small local charity which is able to offer pre-school education and a wide variety of family support services in areas of deprivation through a holistic approach.
As a Trustee of West Smethwick Enterprise (Registered Charity no. 1176750), you would become part of an organisation that has grown from strength to strength, particularly over the past 10 years and now works with over 300 families each year.
We are keen to welcome new Trustees that are willing to truly work as part of a team to oversee and support the future development of West Smethwick Enterprise (WSE), an independent charity, supporting young children and their families. We feel that individuals who would approach this vital work with professionalism, integrity and openness, would be best suited to leading our charity into the future.
We are seeking individuals with relevant and varied life experiences, as well as skills and professional experience within any of the following areas: Business Development, Human Resources, Legal, Governance, IT, Income Generation, Marketing/Communications, Early Years and Education.

We are seeking individuals who:
Have the ability to contribute to the development of long-term goals and strategic plans for the charity
Possess a good understanding of governance principles and a commitment to ensuring the charity relates operates ethically and legally
Have a good understanding of financial matters, budgeting, and financial reporting to ensure the responsible management of resources
Have the capacity to effectively communicate ideas, advocate for the charity and collaborate with other trustees
Possess the ability to adapt to changes in the charity's environment and respond effectively to emerging challenges
As part of our board you will play a crucial role in shaping the direction of the charity. You will contribute by providing strategic guidance, ensuring effective governance, overseeing financial matters, and actively participating in decision-making processes.
You will also have the opportunity to leverage your skills and networks to enhance fundraising efforts, build partnerships, and advocate our mission.
