British Blind Sport is currently seeking applications for an Independent Director to join their Board of Trustees.
To support our work and to help us to demonstrate our commitment to VI sport we are looking for an Independent Director to provide guidance to Board members and staff on blind and partially sighted sport with lived experiences. To be a public ambassador for BBS in the blind and partially sighted community and wider audience.
This is an unremunerated role however reasonable travel expenses will be paid.
Meetings are held via zoom or at our offices in Leamington Spa and sometimes we utilise the meeting facilities of our partners based in London and Birmingham. There is an expectation that board members will attend a minimum of 4 meetings per annum.
Although our Head Office is in Leamington Spa, we understand that the blind and partially sighted community is spread across the UK, and we are keen to reflect that regional diversity on our Board.
