Help Bank.Green build a remote team fighting the climate crisis! As our HR Specialist, you’ll lead volunteer recruitment, onboarding, and team-building efforts to support a global movement advocating for greener banking practices.

What will you be doing?

Bank.Green is on a mission to challenge the banking sector’s role in financing fossil fuels and empower consumers to choose climate-friendly financial institutions. Our HR Specialist role is key to growing and supporting the volunteer team that drives this mission forward.

In this role, you will:

  • Manage the volunteer hiring process, including posting roles, conducting interviews with Directors, and collaborating with Directors on final selections.
  • Oversee onboarding, ensuring new team members feel supported and equipped to make an impact.
  • Refine and adapt HR processes to suit our remote-first team structure.
  • Work closely with the People Coordinator to create smooth transitions for volunteers joining or completing their time with us.
  • Foster a positive organisational culture by collaborating with our Engagement Coordinator on team-building activities and ongoing engagement.

What are we looking for?

We are looking for an HR Specialist who is passionate about sustainability and eager to make a meaningful impact in the fight against climate change. The ideal candidate will bring a combination of HR expertise, strong interpersonal skills, and an understanding of remote work dynamics.

Skills and Experience:

  • Experience in Human Resources, particularly in hiring, onboarding, and culture-building.
  • Familiarity with remote work tools and best practices for supporting distributed teams.
  • Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to engage with a diverse, global team.
  • A proactive approach to solving challenges and fostering a positive work environment.
