We're looking for an experience HR lead to establish HR policies, protocols & recruit talented volunteers for ur org. (A medical non profit, focused on improving  the health of the most needy communities tin Somalia) 

What will you be doing?

Organization Overview:

We are a dedicated non-governmental organization focused on improving health outcomes for the most vulnerable populations in Somalia. Our mission is to deliver impactful health services and education, aiming to create a sustainable and healthier future for communities in need. We are seeking a passionate and experienced HR Lead Volunteer to join our team and contribute to our cause by establishing robust HR policies and leading volunteer recruitment efforts across various departments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall mission and vision of the organization.
  • Establish and manage comprehensive HR policies and procedures to support organizational needs and volunteer compliance.
  • Lead the recruitment process for department leads and volunteers, including roles in marketing, legal, fundraising, etc., ensuring a fit with organizational culture and mission.
  • Design and oversee volunteer onboarding and training programs to ensure volunteers are well-prepared for their roles.
  • Act as a point of contact for all volunteer-related HR issues, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Collaborate with department leads to assess volunteer needs, manage volunteer assignments, and optimize volunteer engagement.
  • Monitor and report on volunteer satisfaction and performance, proposing improvements or interventions when necessary.

What are we looking for?

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in Human Resources, preferably within the NGO sector or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of HR practices and volunteer management, including recruitment, training, and performance monitoring.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with a diverse range of volunteers and team members.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement HR policies and systems that support organizational goals.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Passionate about making a difference and committed to the mission of improving health in Somalia.
  • Ability to work remotely and flexibly, with a proactive and self-motivated approach.
