A volunteer Treasurer is sought for Leighton Buzzard Narrow Gauge Railway. The role is supported by a book-keeper and management accountant.

What will you be doing?

The key responsibilities are:

Reporting to and attending Executive Committee monthly meetings
Reporting to and attending AGM
Participation in budget process
Year End Accounts and auditor review
Liaise with auditors on tax matters as necessary
Strategic Plan involvement

What are we looking for?

Essential

An interest in railways
Experience of charity accounting rules including gift aid and tax
Computer literate (Email, Word, Excel)

Desirable

Experience of fund raising and grant applications
Experience of Xero accounting software
Qualified Accountant

What difference will you make?

An opportunity to participate in the financial planning of the Railway which currently has an annual turnover of over £200K.
