The Hertfordshire Building Preservation Trust is seeking an Honorary Director. We are a small team of Directors who work directly with staff, volunteers and a Managing Agent to run a building preservation trust and a trading company

What will you be doing?

The HBPT owns grade I listed Place House in Ware; this is divided into a community hall, a suite of offices and two residential properties which are run by a management company. The successful applicant would become a Director of the Hertfordshire Building Preservation Trust and a Director of the Place House Management Company as representative of the HBPT.

What are we looking for?

The successful applicant would ideally have knowledge and experience of property management and good communication skills. An existing interest in historic buildings would be very desirable but a willingness to learn would be OK

What difference will you make?

This role would ensure the ongoing protection of one old Ware's oldest and most important buildings; the different facets of the organisation would keep it very interesting.

What's in it for the volunteer?

It is an opportunity to work with a friendly team in Hertford Castle, a grade I listed building and the chance to help the Hertfordshire Building Preservation Trust
