We are looking for a dedicated and organised volunteer to lead our Homework Club, providing a supportive space for children and teens to complete schoolwork, develop study skills, and build confidence. 

What will you be doing?

As a Homework Club Coordinator at Active in Hope Community Foundation, you will play a key role in creating a positive and structured environment for children and teenagers to excel academically. Your role involves managing the day-to-day running of the club, offering guidance with schoolwork, and supporting participants to develop their study skills and self-confidence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the running of the Homework Club, ensuring a safe and welcoming space for all participants.
  • Provide academic support across a range of subjects, helping students with their schoolwork.
  • Organise and facilitate engaging activities to improve study skills and academic confidence.
  • Encourage participants to set and achieve learning goals.
  • Liaise with parents, carers, and educators as needed to understand and address specific student needs.
  • Maintain accurate attendance records and ensure safeguarding policies are followed.

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Experience working with children or teenagers in an educational or mentoring role.
  • Strong knowledge of core subjects such as English and Maths.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and the ability to motivate and inspire young learners.
  • Organisational skills to plan and manage sessions effective
