An exciting opportunity to deliver innovative and engaging CFK pilot interventions to inspire children and young people to turn away from UPF's and choose real and natural foods!
In arguably one of the most important voluntary roles within the Collaboration for Kids (CFK) project, you will be responsible for delivering our innovative nutrition and lifestyle-based pilot interventions to a children and young people in and around the Bognor area!
Following a successful first pilot in a local Secondary School, we plan on delivering subsequent pilot interventions in the local area, from September 2024 and are looking to grow the team!
This role could involve you working with children in a variety of settings such as schools, sports clubs, parent and toddler groups, community/family groups and more!
You will play a key role in building relationships and inspiring children and their families, as well as our strategic partners and intervention sites to help us achieve our goals You may also get involved in the collection of baseline and post intervention data, providing feedback and learnings to assist in continuous improvement and innovation.
To be successful in this role you will:
In this ‘intervention delivery role’ you will be confident in delivering educational programmes / sessions / interventions to children and/or teenagers AND a real passion for nutrition and changing the eating behaviours of our teens
Qualifications wise, ideally you will have (or be studying towards) a degree or something similar in Education, Nutrition, Health Coaching, Child Public Health and /or Public Health (or any other relevant qualification)
As the role involves delivering face to face workshops/session in Bognor Regis, YOU MUST either live locally or be willing and able to travel to Bognor Regis on a weekly basis from the beginning of the Autumn Term (September 2024)
The impact you will have in this role is huge and extremely important. You'll be 'on the ground' working closely with educators, parents/carers and children to co-create interventions to change the eating habits of our children and future generations!
As a team of volunteers, we are ever so grateful to everyone who agrees to contribute some of their valuable time to the project, but as a minimum we ask for a commitment of 3-4 hours per week. All are voluntary positions with no remuneration offered other than what we hope will be a huge amount of job satisfaction and fun, working with like minded people with a passion for making a real difference to future generations.
