Provide vision and leadership for the charity’s Financial & Funding matters, to achieve the goals of the two projects; Collaboration for Kids and Food Addiction Solutions.
As Joint HoF&A, the main responsibility for this position is to spearhead the necessary financial and funding initiatives that will support the sustainability and financial solvency of The CHC and its projects, contributing to the strengthening and professionalism of the reputation of its brands. These brand values include the perspectives of The CHC as an inclusive, collaborative, solutions-focused and financially prudent and well managed organisation. To this end, the financial initiatives need to involve the development of appropriate strategies, policies, processes, implementation and management plans, and providing proactive leadership for these, in a manner that will support, and make financially realistic, the ambitions, missions and goals of the project teams. Projects within the CHC are Collaboration for Kids (CFK), a project focussed on inspiring young people and their families to eat more real and natural foods, and Food Addiction Solutions (FAS), a project to spearhead activities that can lead to the recognition of food addiction as a disease and appropriate treatment.
As Joint Head of Finance, and as part of The CHC Executive Leadership Team, your responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following functional responsibilities:
- Define the strategy, set SMART Goals and lead your Functional Project Team(s) within CFK and FAS, as appropriate to achieve the goals of these projects.
- Support the building of your functional project team, with appropriately qualified people and sufficient resources, to achieve the goals and strategic objectives set for the two projects.
- Proactively identify and deal with awareness, communication and training needs, in a collaborative manner pertaining to R&C issues, and as appropriate within The CHC and specifically also for the two projects.
Your Functional Areas: All financial matters within The CHC and its projects, including developing the Finance policies, standards, processes, communication, implementation, risk mitigation, planning and management formats, as well as the quality assurance thereof, for the achievement of the project goals, as well as for the long-term sustainability and positive brand reputation of both projects.

All are voluntary positions with no remuneration offered other than what we hope will be a huge amount of job satisfaction and fun, working with like-minded people with a passion for making a real difference to future generations.
Current expectations are that The CHC Executives will need to commit approximately 6-10 hours per week to the project. As this role is a job-share, time commitment will be reduced accordingly. The monthly and weekly time commitment and responsibilities, are flexible and should to be designed and adjusted as the projects develop, and as appropriate and in line with the goals of the projects and the ambitions of the incumbent.
