We are seeking a Head of Corporate Affairs to help us ensure we are fully compliant and well-run at the Step Up Network CIC, a network for new and aspiring leaders in education.

What will you be doing?

Role Purpose

To provide effective organisational-level leadership for all aspects of corporate affairs and governance.
To establish an advisory board for the organisation.

Duties, Tasks and Responsibilities

Develop the implementation of an advisory board for the organisation including devising a strategy, recruiting board members, setting up policies and meetings.
Strategically leading on legal, health and safety, safeguarding, insurance and risk. Overseeing the relevant policies and practices.
Oversight and management for all complaints, concerns and compliments.
Ensuring all policies are written, reviewed and implemented effectively.
Overseeing and managing awards and accreditations for the organisation including the writing of award applications.

This is a remote role.

Time Commitment

1-3 hours per week

What are we looking for?

Person Specification

Is experienced in at least one of the following: Governance, Legal, Insurance/Risk, Safeguarding/Health and Safety.
Is a good communicator.
Is a self-starter.
Can work remotely.
Experience of managing virtual events (desirable).
Good organisational and interpersonal skills.
Has a good level of written English.
Good sense of humour.
Has access to a computer and a good internet connection.
Aligns to the values and mission of Step Up.
