Lead content efforts to promote sustainable banking! Oversee social media, newsletters, and blogs, ensuring impactful messaging that drives climate action. Volunteer 5-10 hours/week to make a difference.

What will you be doing?

As the Director of Content at Bank.Green, you will take charge of our content strategy, managing and guiding the social media team to meet monthly posting quotas and deliver compelling, impactful messaging. You’ll review and refine content, including our short monthly newsletter and occasional blog posts from the research team, ensuring clarity and alignment with our mission. Additionally, you’ll support miscellaneous content-related updates, particularly for our website.

Your role will play a pivotal part in amplifying Bank.Green's voice, inspiring individuals and businesses to demand greener banking practices. While this role has clear responsibilities, there is flexibility for you to shape the content strategy further and bring your unique perspective to our efforts.

You will work closely with a passionate volunteer team committed to accelerating the transition to sustainable banking. Your leadership and creativity will help ensure our content is engaging and drives meaningful action.

What are we looking for?

We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented individual with strong leadership and content management skills to take on the role of Director of Content at Bank.Green. The ideal candidate should have:

  • Leadership and Team Management Skills: Experience managing teams, providing clear direction, and fostering collaboration.
  • Content Strategy Expertise: A proven track record in content creation, planning, and execution across multiple channels, particularly social media, newsletters, and blogs.
  • Exceptional Writing and Editing Abilities: Strong skills in crafting, editing, and proofreading content to ensure quality and alignment with organisational goals.
  • Familiarity with Social Media Platforms: Knowledge of social media trends, best practices, and analytics to guide the social media team effectively.
  • Organisational and Time-Management Skills: The ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Creative Vision: A creative mindset for generating innovative content ideas and maintaining consistent, engaging messaging.
  • Passion for Sustainability: An interest in climate advocacy and sustainability, with a desire to contribute to meaningful change in the banking sector.

While a basic understanding of finance or banking is not required, it would be beneficial for this role. Above all, we are looking for someone who is committed, reliable, and enthusiastic about joining a collaborative, volunteer-driven team dedicated to driving impactful change.

What difference will you make?

Your leadership as Director of Content will directly support Bank.Green's mission to create a more climate-friendly banking system. By overseeing our content and ensuring impactful messaging, you’ll help spread awareness of banks' environmental impacts and motivate individuals and businesses to demand change.

The content you oversee will inspire tangible actions, from businesses switching to greener banks to consumers making more climate-friendly financial choices. Your contributions will help drive the transition towards a low-carbon future, making a real difference in the fight against climate change.
