COVID has made the past 2 years very difficult and we have been in a better position than most to survive, This has also highlighted the need to future-proof the organisation from events that may not be anticipated, therefore ensuring our provision to women and children is safeguarded. This allows the women and children to heal. They have a safe place from which to springboard back into society life free from fear.
This is an opportunity to share your skill and expertise with other like-minded women who are passionate about securing facilities for survivors of domestic abuse. An all female management committee (Genuine Occupational Requirement (Schedule 9; Equality Act 2010) and is exempt under section 7 (2) (f) of the Sex Discrimination Act 1975 Age 18 or over) you will enjoy sharing, problem solving, leading and making decisions together.
Appointment as a trustee is dependent on a successful DBS certificate.
