UKMasto is a small charity helping people with Mast Cell Diseases. In this role, you will be writing applications for Grants for us to be able to continue to support our patients. 

What will you be doing?

The objective of this role is research, write and submit grant proposals to secure funding for the charity's work. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Research and identify potential funding sources, including government agencies, private foundations and corporate sponsors. 
  • Develop, write and submit competing grant proposals, alongside the Trustees. 
  • Collaborate with the Trustees to gather necessary information for the grant submissions. 
  • Ensure all grant proposals meet the specific requirements and guidelines for each funding source. 
  • Maintain a calendar of grant deadlines, managing multiple submissions simultaneously. 
  • Report on progress to the Trustees.
  • Conduct post-award grant management. 

What are we looking for?

Experience: 

  • We are looking for someone with a background in writing, specifically bid or grant writing. 

What difference will you make?

Your input will allow us to apply for grants so that we can continue to support and advocate for people who have Mastocytosis, Mast Cell Activation Syndrome and Hereditary Alpha-Tryptasaemia. Your contribution will also help to raise funds to aid research into treatments and potentially a cure.
