Welcome to Reach Volunteering. We are a community and registered charity that connects people, skills and good causes.

To apply for this role, and any other on our platform, you need to be based in the UK, have at least three years of experience using the skills you wish to volunteer in a professional capacity or have lived experience (for trustee roles). Read more about our criteria.

You will play a critical role in securing funding to support our programs and initiatives. This position involves identifying and managing the entire grant application process to ensure compliance and successful funding outcomes

What will you be doing?

Key Responsibilities:

  • Research and identify potential funding sources, including government agencies, private foundations, and corporate sponsors.
  • Develop, write, and submit compelling grant proposals that align with Kore Development Charity’s mission and program objectives.
  • Collaborate with program staff to gather necessary information, develop project narratives, and create detailed budgets.
  • Ensure all grant proposals meet the specific requirements and guidelines of each funding source.
  • Maintain a comprehensive calendar of grant deadlines and manage multiple grant submissions simultaneously.
  • Provide progress reports and updates to funders as required.Monitor and track the status of submitted grants and provide follow-up as necessary.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining relationships with funders and stakeholders.
  • Conduct post-award grant management, including compliance reporting and evaluation.

What are we looking for?

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a grant writer with a successful track record of securing funding.
  • Excellent research, writing, and editing skills.
  • Strong understanding of grant application processes and requirements.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Exceptional organisational and time management skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and grant management software.
  • Familiarity with community development and social injustice issues is preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Nonprofit Management, or a related field is preferred.
