Short term project: 1-15 hours, completed within 4 months
The role would take place within a 4 month period.

Help us to manage the financial impact Covid-19 is having on our organisation. Our vital Dial a Ride service for members of our Charity depends on our financial resilience.

What will you be doing?

We are looking for a Volunteer reporting into our Chief Executive who can research and locate grant funds to assist in the sourcing of finance and help consider how to manage the financial impact of Covid-19 on our charity.

We need help in respect of the following

  • Understanding which government Covid-19 support packages are relevant to our charity and if / how we should access on them
  • Researching Trusts and Funds as alternative grant fund providers
  • Providing support on making the applications to various organisations considered to be best options for maximum success

We would love a Volunteer who can:

  • Quickly understand our financial set up / main concerns
  • Create some grant options for funding apart from Bank Loans
  • Discuss next steps
  • Follow up with any further questions or outcomes.

What are we looking for?

We are looking for a volunteer who

  • Has the ability to quickly understand the needs and challenges faced by our organisation
  • Is aware of / is willing to inform themself of the latest government support packages for Covid-19 
  • Prepared to spend time and effort to locate grant fund providers and assist in submitting applications


  • Finance: Financial management
  • Experience of locating Grant Fund sources and follow through to successful submissions

What difference will you make?

With your help we will be able to continue to offer transport services linking local provision to those people who are unable to use mainstream bus services due to their lack of mobility. This will ultimately ensure the long-term sustainability of the Dial a Ride service within our organisation beyond the challenges presented by Covid-19.
