Join our team to help secure funding to support our life-changing community initiatives! We’re looking for help in writing grant proposals for projects that promote mental health, sustainability, and community well-being.
We are looking for a volunteer to assist BlueGreenCymru with writing grant proposals to secure funding for our community well-being programs. This role involves researching potential funding opportunities, drafting and submitting grant applications, and helping to shape the future of our initiatives that focus on mental health, outdoor therapies, and sustainability.
The key deliverable will be to support the preparation of at least 3 grant proposals within a set period, ensuring they align with our projects and meet the requirements of the funders. This work will directly contribute to enabling us to continue and expand our services, which help vulnerable individuals, families, and children facing mental health challenges and social isolation.
You will work closely with our team, including the Directors and project coordinators, who will provide guidance, share relevant information, and offer feedback on drafts. You’ll also have access to detailed reports and insights from past projects to help inform your proposals.
While we have a clear idea of the direction we’d like to take, we are open to your ideas on how best to approach the grant-writing process. Whether you prefer to work independently or collaboratively, there is flexibility in how you can contribute.
We’re looking for a passionate and detail-oriented volunteer with experience in writing grant proposals or a strong interest in learning this skill. The ideal candidate will have:
Experience in the charity sector or working with community initiatives would be beneficial but not essential. Training and support will be provided.
As a volunteer grant writer with BlueGreenCymru, you will play a crucial role in securing the funding needed to support and expand our life-changing programs. Your work will directly contribute to providing mental health support, building sustainable green spaces, and offering empowering opportunities for local families and individuals in need.
Our community faces significant challenges, with over 35% of children in our region living below the poverty line and high rates of mental health struggles. Ceredigion, where we work, has the highest suicide rate in England and Wales, and is also ranked highest for anxiety levels. By helping us secure these funds, you will enable us to tackle these issues head-on, reduce isolation, and improve well-being for the most vulnerable in our area.
The impact of your work will ripple out, touching the lives of individuals and families in need, and fostering lasting positive change in a community in urgent need of support.
Join us, and together, we’ll make a positive impact on the lives of those who need it most.
