Welcome to Reach Volunteering. We are a community and registered charity that connects people, skills and good causes.

To apply for this role, and any other on our platform, you need to be based in the UK, have at least three years of experience using the skills you wish to volunteer in a professional capacity or have lived experience (for trustee roles). Read more about our criteria.

Help Fawcett explore the potential of AI. We're seeking someone with GPT tool experience to train assistants that support our comms, campaigns, and daily work – and shape the future of gender equality through responsible tech.

What will you be doing?

We’re excited to explore how generative AI can support our mission — and we’re looking for someone to help us do it thoughtfully and effectively. As our GPT Specialist, you’ll work with us to design and train AI assistants that can enhance our team’s work, particularly in communications and campaigning.

This is a hands-on, exploratory role where you’ll help identify and test use cases for GPT assistants — from drafting copy and managing knowledge bases, to shaping consistent tone of voice and helping us scale ideas. You’ll bring technical know-how and creative thinking to the table, helping us make AI work for people and not the other way around.

Whether it’s building prompt libraries, refining assistant behaviours, or helping us understand GPT's strengths and limitations, you’ll play a vital role in supporting our small but mighty team to work more effectively — so we can focus on driving gender equality forward.

What are we looking for?

We’re looking for someone who is:

  • Experienced and confident using ChatGPT
  • Curious, methodical, and comfortable experimenting
  • Able to translate technical approaches into usable systems for non-tech teams
  • Passionate about using tech for social impact
  • A good communicator with an eye for language and tone
  • A collaborator, able to interpret the needs of their team and translate this into tech solutions

What difference will you make?

You’ll help shape how we integrate AI into our daily work in a way that’s smart, ethical, and human-centred. By supporting the development of GPT assistants, you’ll help free up time, unlock capacity, and support better storytelling, comms, and engagement — ultimately helping us reach more people and deepen our impact.

Before you apply

Please share a short note about your experience with GPT tools, why you’re interested in this role, and any relevant examples or links.
