What will you be doing?

The EAWA Board has been altruistic and wants to attract like minded professionals.  You will have the expertise needed to govern EAWA strategically and skills to be utilised for Service to the Community.

The Role

The role and responsibilities of a charity company director are attached. These are broad / overarching to ensure that EAWA complies with its charitable obligations. EAWA does this effectively and you will be a part of the team assisting with its long-term vision and continuity.

EAWA has been innovatively working to develop services in the wider community for elderly people. EAWA want to attract key people to invest energy and resources to enable EAWA to fulfil its purpose. To achieve this we need you on our Board.

EAWA has an annual Away Day at which we consider our strategic development needs, document our business plan, direction and set our priorities for the future. You will participate with the EAWA team in the delivery if these plans.  EAWA Board meets on Thursdays evenings each month on Zoom from 7.45pm to 9.15pm as well.  

EAWA wants excellent skills sets to steer the organisation, and work to progress in an ever changing environment. 

What are we looking for?

We want a person with integrity, vision, and creativity.  A hard-working focused person willing to devote time to this role and to further EAWA's charitable objectives.  A team player with an understanding of directorship responsibilities, legal duties with good judgement and strategic ability.  A person who gets things done and rolls up their sleeves practically to fulfil their area of expertise.

Our day care centre is a one stop shop of disability related services that are preventative, empowering, and proven to be successful for our clients. We want to further enhance our service provision.
