Visitors from Fifth Day

Welcome to Reach Volunteering. We are a community and registered charity that connects people, skills and good causes.

To apply for this role, and any other on our platform, you need to be based in the UK, have at least three years of experience using the skills you wish to volunteer in a professional capacity or have lived experience (for trustee roles). Read more about our criteria.

We are working in partnership with a rural Maasai community in Kenya to improve their education provision.  We have recently built a community hall, which will require some enhancements and developing our projects in the community.

What will you be doing?

We are looking for volunteers, either working by themselves, or in local groups to organise local fundraising events. This could be anything from coffee mornings, to a stall at the community festival to holding a sponsored activity.Every community is different, and we will work with you in planning and delivering your event.  In particular, we are very keen to develop our corporate and trust fundraising ability. If you have experience in these areas we would love to hear from you.

What are we looking for?

Previous experience of charity fundraising and enthusiasm are essential. An important consideration is the ability to play an active part in small local groups as well as participating in national fundraising opportunities.

What difference will you make?

Your efforts will have a major impact on the lives of the community that we are working with.  There may be an opportunity for you to visit the community alongside one of the Trustees to experience the community for yourself.
