Looking for a Fundraising Volunteer to join our small but ambitious team. You'll be providing administrative, research and income-generating support, excellent donor care and assisting with the smooth running of fundraising activities.

What will you be doing?

The main purpose of this role is to: 

  • Undertake administration tasks to support fundraising efforts.  
  • Support a variety of income-generation functions, including individual giving, event fundraising, trust and foundations grant-making, and corporate giving.  
  • Support communication and media outreach, including identifying and maintaining journalists/contacts and researching new outreach prospects.

Key tasks you may be able to support: 

  • Support other teams in social media activities.  
  • Ad hoc research tasks on donor engagement and retention and supporter care.  
  • Create engaging content for a new campaign aiming to bring in new potential donors to The Falklands War Heritage Centre
  • Research new opportunities to partner with high-net-worth individuals, companies, and trusts & foundations, who are the most relevant match for HI’s mission.

Ultimately, you will be key to ensuring sufficient income to help us through the various phases of the Project with a big influence on the smooth running as the Project progresses. Then longer term to continue to seek new funding to develop more services to meet increasing delivery of the Project.

Your successful support with revenue generating strategy will help shape how we are able to present ourselves to our service users, stakeholders, funders and general public.

You will be part of a dynamic organisation with our other teams of volunteers dealing with Marketing, Social Media, Events and Operations.

You will also be influential in supporting the organisation's development in its transformation and growth as we continue to develop the ongoing business plan and sustainability strategy.
