Cards for Bravery is a charity dedicated to brightening the days of hospitalised and seriously ill children. We are looking for a fundraising volunteer who can help us raise funds to enable us to continue and expand our services.

What will you be doing?

Cards for Bravery is a newly registered charity dedicated to brightening the days of hospitalised and seriously ill children, mainly through the distribution of positive uplifting hand-made cards. 

We are looking for a fundraising volunteer who can help us raise funds to enable us to continue delivering our services as a charity. 

A DBS Check will be required for this role.

We ask that only those who can make a strong commitment to volunteering with Cards for Bravery apply for this role

 

The role will include activities such as: 

  • Identify and suggest fundraising opportunities.

  • Helping to plan and organise fundraising activities and events

  • Contacting businesses and companies regarding potential partnerships and donations

  • Support with promoting our fundraising and activities

  • Seeking appropriate grants and supporting with grant applications

  • Supporting with online fundraising initiatives

  • Attending fundraising events and in-person sessions where necessary(all travel compensation will be covered)

  • Helping to come up with creative and fun fundraising ideas

As a team member, we also require you:

  • Attend at least 3 monthly volunteer team meetings a year (out of 6, remote via Google Meets)
  • Be part of a unique team and give ideas to help broaden Cards for Bravery

  • Attend meetings with your relevant volunteer coordinator and the team to report on activity and work.

What are we looking for?

An ideal match would be someone who have skills, experience and qualities such

  • Someone who is positive, dependable and hardworking and is dedicated to helping us bring smiles to hospitalised children’s faces
  • Someone with clear communication, teamwork and time management skills 

  • Someone with past experience of fundraising and/or related fields

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Successful relationship building skills

As a fundraising volunteer for Cards for Bravery, your work would have crucial impact on the organisation. Your efforts would help raise funds to support the charities mission of spreading kindness to children and young people going through some of the most difficult times. As a newly registered charity, we are in need of boosting our annual income to help us continue our work and expand our services. This will help us thrive and make our long term growth sustainable.
