Join MTICBIAI as a Fundraising Trustee and help drive our mission to empower individuals facing trauma and adversity. Play a key role in securing financial resources, shaping strategies and expanding our network to ensure sustainable growth.

What will you be doing?

MTICBIAI is seeking a Fundraising Trustee to support the development and implementation of our financial strategy. As a charity focused on empowering individuals with mental health challenges and neurodivergence, we aim to create a supportive and inclusive community.

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in securing sustainable funding for the organisation, identifying new opportunities, and fostering long-term relationships with donors, sponsors, and other stakeholders. You will collaborate with the board to shape our fundraising approach, ensuring it aligns with our values and supports our mission to provide essential services and resources.

We're looking for someone with experience in fundraising, strategic planning, or a related field. Ideally, you will have lived experience of mental health or neurodivergence, or a deep understanding of the challenges faced by these communities. You should be passionate about our cause and committed to making a tangible difference.

This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the long-term success of MTICBIAI. As a trustee, you will help ensure the organisation’s sustainability and growth, enabling us to continue delivering vital support. If you are driven by the opportunity to create meaningful change and have the skills and expertise to help us thrive, we encourage you to apply.

What are we looking for?

We are looking for a Fundraising Trustee who is passionate about our mission and committed to making a meaningful impact. The ideal candidate will have the following skills, experience, and qualities:

  • Fundraising Experience: Proven experience in fundraising or developing fundraising strategies, ideally in the nonprofit sector. This includes knowledge of different fundraising streams such as grants, sponsorships, individual giving, and events.
  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to think strategically and contribute to the long-term financial sustainability of MTICBIAI. You will help shape our fundraising approach and ensure it aligns with our organisational goals.
  • Relationship Building: Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with potential donors, corporate sponsors, and other stakeholders. You should be comfortable networking and advocating for our cause.
  • Lived Experience or Understanding: While not essential, lived experience of mental health challenges, neurodivergence, or working with individuals facing similar struggles would be a strong asset. A deep empathy and understanding of the issues we address is key.
  • Commitment to Diversity and Inclusion: A commitment to inclusivity and the values of diversity, empowerment, and resilience that guide our work. You should be an advocate for breaking stigma and promoting equality.
  • Collaborative Spirit: A team player with the ability to work closely with other trustees, staff, and volunteers. You should be comfortable sharing ideas, taking initiative, and providing constructive feedback.
  • Governance Awareness: Familiarity with the roles and responsibilities of a trustee, including financial oversight and governance. You should be comfortable working within the framework of charity law and best practices.

Above all, we are looking for someone who is passionate, reliable, and eager to make a positive difference in the lives of those we serve. If you have the skills and commitment to help us drive forward our mission, we would love to hear from you.

What difference will you make?

As a Fundraising Trustee for MTICBIAI, you will have a direct and lasting impact on the lives of individuals facing trauma and adversity. Your work will ensure that the organisation has the financial resources to continue offering vital services, creating a community where people feel understood and supported.

By developing and driving our fundraising strategy, you'll enable us to expand our reach, improve our programs, and provide essential resources that empower individuals to thrive. Your efforts will help raise awareness of the issues we champion, attract key partners and donors, and secure the sustainability needed to grow and evolve.

Ultimately, your contribution will help shape the future of MTICBIAI, allowing us to support even more individuals in need, amplify their voices, and create long-term, positive change in the community. The difference you make will be felt for years to come, fostering resilience, connection and empowerment.
