Our board is currently facing the challenge of expanding our fundraising efforts to support the growing need for neurodiverse children and their families.  Our primary goals is to increase revenue to expand our services.

What will you be doing?

Potential Kids is an award winning charity based in Welwyn/Hatfield which provides learning, social and sports opportunities to Neurodivergent children / young people (Autism, ADHD, Dyslexia, Dyspraxia, Tourette Syndrome amongst other conditions).

  • Fundraising Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive fundraising strategy, including individual giving, corporate partnerships, grant applications, and special fundraising events.
  • Donor Relationships: Cultivate and maintain relationships with existing donors and identify and engage potential supporters. Ensure donor stewardship and provide timely updates.
  • Grant Applications: Research, identify, and apply for relevant grants from foundations, governmental agencies, and other sources. Prepare compelling grant proposals.
  • Corporate Partnerships: Identify and engage potential corporate partners to secure financial support and in-kind contributions. Negotiate and manage partnership agreements.
  • Fundraising Events: Plan and execute fundraising events and campaigns, leveraging both online and offline channels.
  • Fundraising Materials: Develop persuasive fundraising materials, including written and visual content, to support fundraising efforts.
  • Budget Management: Develop and manage fundraising budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness while maximising revenue generation.
  • Reporting and Evaluation: Track and report on fundraising efforts, evaluate outcomes, and use data to refine fundraising strategies.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate closely with other team members to align fundraising efforts with the organisation's overall mission.
  • Proven experience in fundraising and donor management.
  • Strong knowledge of fundraising strategies and techniques, including grant writing and corporate partnership development.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Self-motivated and results-oriented with a strong ability to work independently and in a team.
  • Knowledge of mental health issues and a strong commitment to Potential Kids’ mission.
  • Budget management and financial acumen.
  • Familiarity with fundraising software and platforms.
  • These are not exhaustive and may change as the business develops.
