An opportunity to work at the heart of our project to attract the necessary funds so that we can reach out to more young people who have lost a loved one and will benefit from our therapeutic game.

What will you be doing?

This is a unique and exciting opportunity to join a small and dedicated team to secure the funding we need to really develop and market our free, award winning app and to broaden our impact.

We would love to hear from you if:-

  • You have worked at a strategic level and would be confident to help guide our fundraising project
  • Have experience of bid writing, particularly for a charity
  • you have experience of building relationships with potential donors and current stakeholders

We are very keen to secure funding in the short term to cover our internationalisation project, as well as helping us to secure regular donations for our on-going projects.

Role Overview

On a day to day basis, you will be:-

  • Ensuring that our team maintain regular and meaningful contact with our stakeholders
  • Directing research to identify new funding opportunities from donors and trusts.
  • Assisting with Funding Applications to Trusts/Foundations and other organisations
  • Supporting and planning fundraising initiatives
  • Providing guidance for marketing any fundraising events
  • Supporting the development of membership fundraising, working with our copywriters to create effective materials
  • Overseeing the development and management of our fundraising database, working with our email marketing specialist
  • Other ad hoc admin support for the team as required

What are we looking for?

You will be able to demonstrate experience of working in a similar role for at least 3 years, with a successful track record of fundraising applications and proposals.

You have:-

  • excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • excellent interpersonal skills
  • attention to detail
  • the ability to work flexibly in a team with enthusiasm and commitment
  • good presentation and communication skills.
  • experience of writing persuasive letters
  • understanding and empathy of mental health
  • the belief in technology for good

What difference will you make?

We are only able to continue to reach out further to young people who will benefit from our unique therapeutic game with the necessary funding in place. You will help us to ensure that we attract the necessary resources to make this a reality.

What's in it for the volunteer?

Being at the heart of, and directing our fundraising strategy will be enormously rewarding. You will have a hard working and passionate group of people with whom to work and a supportive leadership team. You will make a genuine difference to our future, while building on your own knowledge and experience. We value our volunteers highly and will do all we can to make your volunteering experience with us fulfilling.
